New Senior Staff Appointments

We're delighted to announce that after a series of comprehensive recruitment processes, we've made appointments to the roles of Director of Estates & Facilities, and Director of People in the Trust.

Rachel Green will be joining the Girls' Learning Trust on 8 May in a role responsible for leading our premises teams in each school, as well as managing our Trust-wide catering contract. She is currently Head of Strategic Estates Management at the Children’s Trust, with 15-year track record in senior roles in the charity and higher education sectors. Commenting on her new role, Rachel said:

I am delighted to be joining the Girls' Learning Trust at this exciting time of growth and development, and I am passionate about maximising the built environment to create a sustainable and high quality setting for learning and teaching that will support the best possible outcomes for the girls and young women.

Abigail Jesson will be joining the Girls' Learning Trust on 15 May in a new role responsible for leading our central Human Resources and Governance Support teams. Abi has over 20 years’ experience in senior HR roles in the broadcasting, higher education and social impact sectors. She is currently Head of People (and volunteering) at City Harvest – a national food recycling charity, and she is also a Trustee of the British Liver Trust. Commenting on her new role, Abi said:

I am thrilled to be joining the Trust in this new role. I am passionate about the transformative impact of education on young people and, as a mum of two teenage girls, I’m particularly aligned with opportunities which help empower and enable young women. I am excited to get started and to develop an HR strategy that will effectively support the wider organisational objectives and maximise success for the three schools and the wider development of the Trust.
